First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for 15 minutes, seek immediate medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminted clothing. Seek

medical attention if irritation develops. Wash contaminated

clothing before reuse. Dispose of shoes and other leather

material saturated with the substance.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If the patient is concious, give 2

glasses of water. Seek medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical or alcohol foam may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Ventilate the

spill site. Collect free liquid for recycling or disposal.

Absorb residual material on inert material (eg kieselguhr).

Transfer waste material to labelled containers and dispose

of by incineration in accordance with local regulations. Do

not let the spill enter sewers or waterways.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation, use local exhaust ventilation

to control mists or vapours. Protective clothing should

include, nitrile or neoprene rubber gloves, safety goggles

and a faceshield, a long sleeve shirt and chemically

protective boots. Avoid wearing jewellery (eg rings and

watches) as the substance may become trapped in contact with

the skin. If necessary (eg high exposure levels), use a full

face respirator with combination organic vapour and

dust/mist cartridge.

Storage: No special precautions, store in tightly closed containers.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible. However, spilt

butuncontaminated material may be collected and reused.

(A611)

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility. Waste gas

treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen should be fitted.
