First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water or saline for at least 15
minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing
should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing, see 2.3.1. Collect
spilled material in a dry state with a vacuum cleaner and
place in containers for disposal. Wash spill site with
water and avoid wet waste discharge to drains/surface
waters.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. The substance should be used only in well
ventilated work areas. Protective clothing, gloves, a dust
mask and eye protection should be worn. Keep away from
combustible material.

Storage: Store in sealed containers at room temperature in the dark.
Keep away from direct sunlight.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not technically feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Incinerate at a suitable facility by
combustion with fuel gas. Waste gas scrubbing to remove
oxides of nitrogen should be fitted. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain coated on
polyester sheets in cassettes. Recovery is not feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: After use, the substance will be collected in general waste
and this may be disposed of by incineration or landfill.
