Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical advice

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, fog or mist, "alcohol" foam, carbon dioxide,

dry chemical and inert material (eg sand, dolomite etc.) may

be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,

nitrogen and hydrogen cyanide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing

should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Sweep up

spill and transfer to labelled containers and dispose of by

incineration in accodance with local regulations.

Wash spill site with water.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance crystallises and precipitates when an aqueous

solution is neutralised at pH 9. Filtration can, therefore,

be used to recover the substance. Neutralised and filtered

solution contains less than 6 mg per litre of the substance.

(A621)

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility. Waste gas

treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen and hydrogen cyanide

gas should be fitted. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
