First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with plenty of soap and water. If

irritation develops seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of nitrogen and

carbon, together with some soot.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and full chemical

protective clothing must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spillage. Full personal protective equipment and a

self contained breathing apparatus must be worn. Either

moisten with water and take up with shovel, or use

industrial vacuum fitted with suitable dust filtration

system. Transfer to suitably labelled containers and dispose

of in accordance with local regulation.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dust formation. The substance should be handled in a

well ventilated area. Rubber gloves, goggles, dust mask with

P2 cartridge and full personal protective equipment should

be worn.

Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool dark place.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Closed fibre kegs or plastic and cardboard drums

respectively, all with inner plastic sack, containing a

maximum of 50 kg of the product.
