nitrogen together with some steam and hydrogen chloride may

be evolved.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Breathing apparatus and protective clothing must be worn.

Equipment should be suitable for contact with strong acids.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance cannot be recylced once incorporated into the

preparation for supply.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The substance will be broken down by chemical treatment

(with oxidising agents or with alkaline substances). (A632,

A634)

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recomended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerate at a facility with flue gas scrubbing to remove

oxides of nitrogen and hydrogen chloride. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not permitted. The substance must not be released to water.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Chemical treatment (with oxidising agents or with alkaline

substances) followed by controlled discharge to biological

waste water treatment plants is considered to be a safe

method of disposal if in accordance with discharge consents

and other local requirements.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not considered appropriate for the public.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: The substance will only enter the  public domain in the form

of hair care products which can be disposed of as domestic

waste.
