First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air. Seek immediate medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immediately with large amounts of water for at least
15 minutes. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Do not use organic
solvents. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and a self contained breathing
apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: SMALL SPILLAGE:

Sweep up or vacuum and place into sealable container for
disposal whilst wearing personal protective equipment.

LARGE SPILLAGE:

Incinerate or place in a suitable container for disposal by
a licensed contractor in accordance with local and national
regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Wear suitable protective clothing such as dust
masks/chemical resistant gloves.

Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged or repeated contact
with skin. Use local exhaust ventilation and avoid dust
formation.

Storage: Secure in tightly closed original containers in a cool, dry
atmosphere. Use proper grounding, venting and explosion
relief in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
Keep away from peroxides, oxidising agents and sources of
ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be packed into 10 kg polyethylene bags
and placed into separate cardboard boxes.

If production of plastic pellets and production of final
articles takes place at different companies, plastic pellets
will be packed into 25 kg paper bags or 200 kg containers.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None reported.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported.

Dust explosion: The substance can form an explosive dust/air mixture. Only
50 g/m3 of the substance is required for it to explode.
Therefore avoid dust formation and inhalation, and control
ignition sources.
