Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In an OECD guideline 202 study in Daphnia magna that followed accepted GLP standards, the test material was not acutely toxic at the highest practically attainable concentration.

Additional information

The test material was not found to be acutely toxic to Daphnia magna at a concentration considered to represent the limit of aqueous solubility under the conditions of the test (mean, 0.38 ug/1). Measured concentrations of the test material at 0 and at 48 hours were below the limit of quantification. Based on ECHA guidance (Chapter R.7b, 2012), it is appropriate to use 1/2 of the limit of quantification (5 micrograms/L) as the concentration in such cases. This would give a mean estimated concentration over the course of the test of 2.5 ug/L. Thus, the 48-hour EC50 value of the test substance for immobilisation of Daphnia magna was not identified but was estimated to be > 2.5 ug/1 and the 'no-observed effect concentration' was considered to be > 2.5 ug/1.
