Chronic data are not available for Y-15099. However, based on the data above, Y-15099 is considered to be rapidly biodegradable via abiotic hydrolysis (DT50 < 16 d) and has a low potential for bioaccumulation. Based on the rapid hydrolysis, the hydrolysis products ethanol, octanoic acid and silanetriol, (3-mercaptopropyl)- were also considered for aquatic testing. The acute aquatic toxicity of Y-15099 and its hydrolysis products shows L(E)C50 > 100 mg/L for fish, daphnia and algae. Therefore, Y-15099 does not need to be classified and labelled as environmental hazard according to the Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Regulation (EU) No. 286/2001 (2ndATP).

The acute aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 values are > 100 mg/L for fish, daphnia and algae.
