First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing or difficult, give

artificial respiration or oxygen. Call a physician.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15

minutes and promptly call a physician.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove the liquid from skin with dry cloth or towel and wash

exposed area with detergent.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out with water provided the person is conscious. Never

give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. call a

physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Product arising from burning: Complete combustion of the substance is theoretically

considered to generate carbon dioxide, silica and amines.

Hydrolysis of the substance produce trimethylsilanol,

methylvinylsilanediol releasing ammonia.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Usual protective equipments for fire hazard of organic

chemicals are effective for the substance.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Shut off all ignition sources, wear appropriate protective

equipment, contain the spill or leak and scrape up with rag

or other absorbent material and place in container.

Handling and storage

Handling: Based on common irritability of organic amines including

other silazane chemicals, the substance may be moderate to

severe irritant. Therefore, the personal protective

equipments to avoid direct contact to skin and eyes are

recommended during the precess to silicone rubbers.

Furthermore, a respiratory protective equipment may be

required.

Storage: The substance can be stored in usual drums or cans made of

steel at cool places without any ignition source.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance can be packaged in ordinary cans or drums made

of steel.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical reaction with water: The substance will react with water gradually and steadily

releasing ammonia even at ambient temperature. Then the

substance will change to trimethylsilanol and

methylvinylsilanediol.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: It is utterly impossible to recover the substance after

formulated to silicone rubber materials or after the use of

them. The substance has firmly combined to silica fillers in

them after formulation.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be incinerated, after mixed with other

wastes.
