First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. If irritation persists, seek
prompt medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately wash eyes with large amounts of water for at
least 15 minutes. Seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately wash with soap and large amounts of water. If
skin irritation occurs, seek prompt medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Do not use water, dry chemical powder and foam. Use water
(from a safe distance) to cool and protect the surrounding
area.

Product arising from burning: During a fire, fumes containing oxides of carbon, sulphur
and nitrogen may be evolved.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear positive pressure self-contained
breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Spilled material should be swept up or shovelled up with
non-sparking tools and collected for disposal by
incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: All personnel handling the substance will be wearing
appropriate personal protective clothing, including a dust
mask, butyl rubber, PVC or neoprene gloves and safety
glasses or chemical splash goggles. All operatives will
wash hands thoroughly after handling.

Storage: The test substance should be stored away from heat, open
flame and sparks, in a moderately cool (< 10'C), dry place.

Keep away from oxidising materials.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: During normal use, the substance cannot be recycled.
Recovery of the substance and subsequent re-use is not
practical without compromising the properties of the test
substance. The substance is used in a preparation for high
purity applications.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Collect spilled material and dispose of by incineration.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the preferred method. Stack gases must be
scrubbed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance does not enter the public domain.
