Additional information

The flash point of isononyl benzoate was determined according to EU test method A.9 [Directive 92/69/EEC, Offical Journal L 383 A 1992] with the Pensky-Martens method. The test item was placed in a test vessel. After closure of the vessel and starting og the stirrer, the apparatus was heated and ignition trials were carried out in regular intervals. In a preliminary run, the approximate temperature range of the flash point was estimated, followed by three runs in the main study to determine the flash point more precisely.

The determined flash point is 161 °C.
