Description of key information

Isononyl benzoate is not mutagenic, neither in vitro nor in vivo. There were no histological findings in  the repeated dose toxicity studies up to 90 days, which can be linked to any of the stages of carcinogenicity. Thus, there is no imperative to conduct a carcinogenicity study; this is in accordance with annex X, column 2 of the REACH regulation.
