Description of key information

Considering the low water solubility of UM-235 (< 0.004 mg/L), hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant degradation pathway for the substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Column 2 of Annex VIII, section 9.2.2.1, testing of the hydrolysis as a function of pH is not required as the substance is highly insoluble in water. The experimentally derived water solubility value for 2-hexyldecanoic acid [4-(6-tert-butyl-7-chloro-1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazol-2-yl)phenylcarbamoyl]methylester (UM-235) was determined to be < 0.004 mg/L at 20 °C in aqua bidest (see section 4.8).
