Conclusions:
Platinum(II) tetraammine diacetate has been determined to have no explosive properties at all.
Executive summary:

In a guideline study, conducted to GLP, platinum(II) tetraammine diacetate was found to have no explosive properties at all in fall hammer (shock), friction or thermal sensitivity tests. However, concurrent positive controls were not used.

Description of key information

Platinum(II) tetraammine diacetate has been determined to have no explosive properties (Merkelburger, 2006d).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of the available and reliable study, classification under EU CLP for explosivity is not required.
