First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not

breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is

difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid if cough or other

symptoms appear. DO NOT use mouth-to-mouth respiration.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,

occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get

medical aid.

Emergency measure - Skin: Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15

minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get

medical aid if irritation develops or persists.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk

or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious

person. Get medical aid.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide, water spray.

Product arising from burning: Under fire situation, this material may generate toxic gases

such as COx, SOx, HF, phosphorous oxides and phosphorus

pentafluorides.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear a self-contained breathing

apparatus and a protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal precautions: Wear appropriate personal protective

equipment (refer to section 2.3.00) during clean up. Avoid

contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhalation. Stay upwind.

Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water

or sanitary sewer system. If accidental spillage or washings

enter drains or watercourses contact local Environment

Agency.

Methods for cleaning up: Evacuate area. Avoid rising of

dust. Sweep up, place in a solid waste container for later

disposal. Residual trace can be wiped away.

Disposal:

In accordance with local and national regulations. Must be

incinerated in a suitable incineration plant holding a

permit delivered by the competent authorities. Do not allow

material to contaminate ground water system. Do not

contaminate surface water.

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods must be designed so that exposure by

inhalation of the substance is minimized and eye contact is

excluded. In addition, skin contact with the substance

should be avoided. Closed or at least splashproof equipment

should be used during filling, transfer and metered feeding

as well as during sampling. In the case of handling in open

systems, any dust that can form must be extracted directly

at the point of origin. The extracted air should only be

returned to the work area after ade-quate cleaning using

tested equipment. If technical extraction or ventilation

measures are not possible or are insufficient, personal

protective equipment is essential

Respiratory protection: Respirator with P2 filters.

Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles.

Hand protection: Suitable protective gloves (PVC or other

plastic material).

Skin and body protection: Protective suit.

Hygiene measures: Wash hands and face before breaks and

immediately after handling the product. Keep away from food,

drink, and animal feeding stuffs. When using, do not eat,

drink, or smoke. Do not breathe dust. Eye douches should be

made available in the immediate vicinity of the work area

and their location should be indicated conspicuously.

Further information: Remove and wash contaminated clothing

and gloves, including the inside, before re-use. Due to the

potential dust-explosion risk, if dust can form, potential

ignition sources should be removed from the work area. In

addition, measures should be taken to prevent electrostatic

discharges.

Storage: For the storage the original packaging drums or other

unbreakable and correctly labelled containers are to be

used.

Keep containers tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated

place at room temperature protected from light and secure by

suitable measures against falling down. Store in a place

accessible by authorized persons only.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Plastic drums with plastic bag.
