Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Adsorption/desorption testing is waived, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006, Annex VIII, Column 2.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006, Annexes VIII, Column 2, adsorption/desorption testing need not be conducted if the substance and its degradation products decompose rapidly. The substance is expected to hydrolyse rapidly in the environment. Furthermore, the substance has been shown to be readily biodegradable, although the substance was not shown to pass the 10-day window. An experimental study on the estimation of adsorption coefficient in soil and sewage sludge was conducted. Due to the short retention time and hydrolysis of the test substance, an estimated adsorption coefficient (Koc) could not be determined, although the log Koc was reported as < 1.32 in the supporting study. Therefore, adsorption/desorption testing is not indicated.
