Description of key information
In the key study an EC10 for microorganisms based on cell growth inhibition > 10 g/L is determined after approximately 17 h.

For the alcohol ethoxylate mixture C12 - C13 with up to 2.5 EO (CAS 66455-14-9) no study on microorganisms is available. Thus, a category read-across to the GLP-study conducted with a mixture of C12 - C14 alcohol ethoxylates containing approximately 6EO according to DIN 38412, part 8 is made (Diefenbach, Sasol, 1996).
In this study an EC10 -value > 10 g/L based on cell growth inhibition could be determined. That value is used for PNEC-calculation.
