Hydrolysis is not a relevant degradation pathway in the environment.

No experimental studies investigated the abiotic hydrolysis of Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers, hydrogenated, 2-ethylhexyl esters (CAS 68440-06-2).However, QSAR calculations (HYDROWIN v2.00) indicate, that hydrolysis is a negligible pathway for the fate of the test substance in the environment (Müller, 2015). Predicted half-lives > 1 year at pH 7 and 161.5 d at pH 8 resulted (Müller, 2015).
