Description of key information

Zeolites are inorganic, white and odourless powders.

The melting point of all tested zeolites was greater than 600 °C.

The relative density measured by gas pycnometry was between 2.19 and 2.47 g/cm³.

The measurement of the PSD varied profoundly with the method employed: HELOS-analyses x50.3: 280.32 - 503.53 μm; high-energy dispersing process (RBG) x50.3: 1.21 - 8.92 μm; laser (D50): 1.115 - 8.687 µm.

Without adjustment of the pH value, the water solubility of SiO2 ranged between 6.994 ± 0.157 and 270.9 ± 10.1 mg/L, that of Na was calculated as between 61.53 ± 0.33 and 283.1 ± 12.6 mg/L, and that of Al2O3 was calculated as between < 19 µg/L and 78.53 ± 9.05 mg/L.
With adjustment of pH value to 7.0 ± 0.1, the water solubility of SiO2 was stated as between 28.13 ± 2.46 and 60.73 ± 7.91 mg/L, that of Na was calculated as between 376.5 ± 34.0 and 1046 ± 37.1 mg/L, and that of Al2O3 was calculated as between < 19 µg/L and 0.218 ± 0.014 mg/L.

Transformation and/or dissolution via measurement of Silicon (Si) and Aluminium (Al) per ICP-OES in aqueous media for Sylosiv A4 showed the following results: 4.5 µg/L Al and < 10 µg/L Si

The tested zeolite sample did not ignite in contact with the ignition flame within 2 minutes. DSC curves of the zeolite test items showed neither endothermic nor exothermic events when heated up to 600 °C.

The pH values of all tested zeolites ranged between 10.61 and 11.29.

The calculated Zeta potential mean value was between -89.1 mv (SD: 0.464) and -20.5 mv (SD: 0.536).

The substance showed dissociating properties, its pKa was calculated as 10.348 ± 0.012.

A photochemical reactivity of the material is not to be expected.
