21% of biodegradation has been observed for Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated at the end of an OECD 310D test (28 days) and thus the substance is considered as not readily biodegradable.

Another ready biodegradation test was performed according to OECD guideline 310 "CO2 in sealed vessels (headspace test)" during an extended period (up to day 60). Under the test conditions, a maximum biodegradation of 5% of the theoretical inorganic carbon was observed for test substance at day 35.

Determination of the hydrolysis rate for Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated is considered not to be technically possible due to its low water solubility and the fact that it is a complex substance comprising numerous components (UVCB). A waiver is therefore proposed for this test.

No actual data are available for determining fish bioaccumulation potential for Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated. Nevertheless modeling approach tends to indicate that the substance is not bioaccumulable in organisms with an estimated BCF < 2,000. In addition, relevant available data on Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated was analyzed to assess its potential toxicokinetic behaviour in mammals (see section 7.1.1. of the iuclid 5). The absorbance is expected to be low, while the metabolisation of amines common reactions of xenobiotic metabolism. Therefore a tendency for bioaccumulation is not expected. Metabolites will be excreted both via urine and bile (feces) depending on the size and charge of the molecules.

Thus, these data show that Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated is not expected to bioaccumulate.
