Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The dissociation constants for 1-amino-2-propanol are estimated to be pKa1 of 9.19 and pKa2 of 12.92.
The dissociation constants for ethylene glycol are estimated to be pKa1 of 14.13 and pKa2 of 15.85.
The dissociation constants for 2-hydroxypropylcarbamic acid are estimated to be pKa1 of -1.55, pKa2 of 5.52, pKa3 of 14.99 and pKa4 of 18.16.

Additional information

In general, dissociation constant would be determined experimentally. However, the substance consists of two ionic compounds which may only be analyzed with NMR and this is not applicable in this case. Therefore, QSAR estimations are assumed to be appropriate to fulfill the information requirements.
