Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Synthetic, crystalline, non-fibrous, silica and titanium based zeolite is an inorganic solid which is insoluble in n-octanol.

The molecular weight of synthetic, crystalline, non-fibrous, silica and titanium based zeolite is > 800 g/mol (in the range of 5000 - 6000 g/mol), so biological membranes could not be permeated. Therefore bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms is not to be expected. The studies from Fischer and Gode (1977) confirmed this conclusion.

In summary,

  • phototransformation in air
  • biodegradation and
  • bioaccumulation

is not a critical and relevant process for environmental fate and pathways.
