Classification justification according to CLP

The substance is not readily biodegradable (4% biodegradation after 28 d). Acute and chronic toxicity data are available for three trophic levels i.e. fish, algae and aquatic invertebrates. The water flea Daphnia magna turned out to be the most sensitive species with a 48h-EC50 value of 43 mg/L (OECD 202, mean measured) and a NOEC of ≥ 6.0 mg a.s./L (mean measured, OECD 211). Therefore, 6-Amino-5-chloro-2-cyclopyrimidine-4-carboxylic acid acid is not classified to be hazardous to the environment according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) considering all further amendments.
