Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A reproduction toxicity screening study (oral gavage) following the OECD guideline 421 is available for the endpoint.

Treatment with Diaminotoluene, propoxylated is not a reproductive toxicant at doses producing parental toxicity. The NOEL for reproductiv e toxicity is 160 mg/kg bw.

Diaminotoluene, propoxylated is not classifiable as hazardous in respect to its reproductive toxicity. There is sufficient information from a qualitative and quantitative understanding of the toxicological properties of the core substance, the repeating unit, and screening studies on the most bioavailable members of the category, such that testing for reproductive toxicity is not necessary. In view of this, no further testing is proposed (see also Illing & Barratt, 2009).

Short description of key information:
NOAEL (reproductive toxicity): ≥ 160 mg/kg bw.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The findings in the available study do not warrant classification according to the EU criteria.
