First-aid measures

General Advice:

First-aid responders should wear protective gloves and in case of spillages respiratory protection. Remove victims from danger zone. Remove contaminated clothing immediately.

If exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention.

If inhaled:

Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

Dry extinguishing media, carbon dioxide, foam, water spray.

Wear self-contained respiratory device.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Wear personal protective equipment including breathing apparatus. Ensure good ventilation.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Provide suitable exhaust ventilation at the processing machines. Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work area. Wear respiratory protection when handling heated product or while spraying.

Storage:

Store in dry, well-ventilated store-room in tightly closed drums and containers. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabelled containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures

Local exhaust ventilation is required for sampling and (dis)charging operations to control airborne levels below the exposure guidelines.

2. Hand protection

Wearing of suitable hand protection is required.

3. Body protection

Wearing of suitable protective clothing is required.

4. Eye protection

Wearing of suitable eye/face protection is required.

5. Respiratory protection

Wearing of suitable respiratory protection

6. Hygiene measures: Keep away from foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco. Wash hands before breaks and at end of work and use skin-protecting ointment. Keep working clothes separately. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash thoroughly after open handling of the product.

Stability and reactivity

Thermal decomposition:

Slight endothermic effects between approx. 66 °C and approx. 180 °C could be detected. The main decomposition of the test item started at approx. 220 °C.

Disposal considerations

This product and any uncleaned containers must be disposed of as hazardous waste.

Contaminated packaging:

Contaminated packaging should be emptied as far as possible; than it can be passed on for recycling after being thoroughly cleaned.
