Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key study: Test method EU A.10. GLP study. The substance is not highly flammable.
Flammability in contact with water: Data waiving (other justification): Based on experience, the substance is not regarded as flammable in contact with water.
Pyrophoricity: Data waiving (other justification): Based on experience, the substance is regarded as not pyrophoric.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Flammability: Key study: The flammability study of the substance was performed according to the EU method A.10 (GLP study). It was concluded that the substance is not highly flammable according to EU A.10 criteria.

Flammability in contact with water: Data waiving (other justification): The practical experience of the sponsor and the test facility (e.g. water solubility study, ecotoxicity tests) shows that no gases are developed, when the test substance is in contact with water. The test substance is therefore regarded as not being flammable in contact with water.

Pyrophoricity: Data waiving (other justification): The test was not performed experimentally because practical experience exists at the sponsor and the test facility, e.g. when handling small amounts of the test substance repeatedly in air during testing. Moreover, according to the auto-ignition study on test item, the substance does not ignite in air at ca. 20 °C and even not at temperatures up to 400 °C. The test substance is therefore regarded as not being pyrophoric.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available data, the substance is not classified for flammability according to CLP Regulation (EC) no. 1272/2008.
