Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

No adverse effect up to the limit of water solubility was observed in all three trophic levels.

Acute aquatic toxicity:

96 h, LC50 (Danio rerio): >100 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Read Across: 48 h, EC50 (Daphnia magna): >100 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Read Across: 72 h, ErC50 (Desmodesmus subspicatus): >100 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Aquatic chronic toxicity:

Read Across: 72 h, EC10 (Desmodesmus subspicatus): >100 mg/L (nominal concentration)

Read Across: 21 d, NOEC (Daphnia magna): > limit of water solubility (nominal concentration

Biodegradation: not readily biodegradable: 4 % after 28 days (% degradation O2 consumption, OECD 301F)

Partition coefficient: log Kow = 6.4 at 25 °C

Classification according to CLP

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was found to be not biodegradable under the test conditions. In all aquatic tests the test item showed no toxic effect on the tested species. The determined L(E)C50 and NOEC values in the short-term toxicity tests with fish, Daphnia magna and green algae were determined to be >100 mg/L. The long-term EC10 to common green algae was determined to be >100 mg/L. No adverse effects upt to the limit of water solubility was observed in long-term studies to daphnia magna exposed with a group of structural similar substances. Based on these results, the substance is neither classified for short-term (acute) aquatic toxicity nor classified for long-term (chronic) aquatic toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for the twelfth time in Regulation (EU) 2019/521.
