Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Degradation

Readily biodegradable: 77.5% after 28 d (301 F)

Aquatic short- term toxicity

Aquatic invertebrates:

EL50 (48 h) > 10.0 mg/L (nominal (WAF), OECD 202, D. magna)

Algae

ErL50 (72 h) = 8.5 mg/L (nominal (WAF), OECD 201, P. subcapitata)

Fish

No toxicity to fish at concentrations up to the water solubility.

Aquatic long- term toxicity

Algae

NOErL (72 h) = 3.13 mg/L (nominal (WAF), OECD 201, P. subcapitata)

Conclusion on CLP

Based on the data above, the substance is rapidly biodegradable and potentially bioaccumulative. The effect concentration for acute aquatic toxicity (L(E)C50) is > 1 mg/L for Daphnia and algae and the effect concentration for long- term aquatic toxicity (NOErL) is > 1 mg/L for the more sensitive trophic level (algae). Therefore, the substance does not need not to be classified according the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (dated: 01.01.2017) and further amendments (ATPs).
