The pure sample showed self-heating starting from 270 °C (max. temp. ca 380 °C).

It liquefied during the test and flowed partially out of the basket. The remaining amount in the wire basket showed self-ignition.

The mixture with kieselguhr (1:1; prevents the sample from running out of the wire basket) showed self-ignition starting from 290 °C with a temperature rise to above 650 °C due to an oxidation reaction of the test substance with kieselguhr.

Conclusions:
The pure test substance showed self-heating starting from 270 °C. The test item is not a self-heating substance according to UN class 4.2 and GHS/CLP.
