Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Immediately remove contaminated clothing.

On skin contact:

Wash thoroughly with soap and water.

On contact with eyes:

Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open, consult an eye specialist.

On ingestion:

Rinse mouth immediately and then drink plenty of water, seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

SUITABLE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:

Dry chemical, carbon dioxide, foam, water - dispersed currents. Extinguish small fires dry chemical or carbon dioxide (CO2).

UNSUITABLE EXTINGGUISHING MEDIA:

Compact jets of water.

SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE:

Mixture is combustible. Couple of form explosive mixtures with air. Combustion products may pose a threat to life.

ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS:

Burning tanks or pools extinguish with foam or water currents. Containers exposed to fire or high temperature with water from a safe distance.

Accidental release measures

Environmental precautions:

Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.

Methods for cleaning up or taking up:

For small amounts: Pick up with suitable absorbent material (e.g. sand, sawdust, general-purpose

binder, kieselguhr). Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with regulations.

For large amounts: Pump off product.

For residues: Rinse away with water.

Handling and storage

Type of storage: storage of flammable liquids - fireproof, with mechanical ventilation and electrical installation

proof, without heating (for smaller amounts), carpeted floor electro-conductive holes spot ventilation at the working level or below, the general ventilation with ventilation at the top of the room and on the floor (in the case of storehouse) and freestanding storage tanks or underground, inertyzowane nitrogen, protected exhaust valves, installation of grounding and measuring.

Shared storage: only with materials of the same class of danger.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Use only in well ventilated area. In the presence of mixture use in explosion-proof equipment.

Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment

a) Eye protection - Protective goggles.

b) Skin protection - Hand protection - Chemical resistant protective clothing and gloves.

c) Respiratory Protection - Breathing apparatus or gas mask.

d) Thermal hazards - clothing resistant to high temperatures, protective screens.

Environmental exposure controls

The use of equipment to reduce emissions to acceptable levels: scrubbers, absorbers, adsorbers, filters.

Stability and reactivity

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS

Under normal circumstances, mixture does not decompose.

REACTIVITY

Chemical stability: Stable at normal conditions.

CHEMICAL STABILITY

Reaction mass is chemically stable under normal conditions.

POSSIBILTY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS

Under normal conditions of storage and use, it is dangerous reactions.

CONDITIONS TO AVOID

Leaky packages, high temperatures mixture in storage tanks and operational, the lack of encapsulation and inerting storage tanks, static discharge or other ignition sources, lack of ventilation.

INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS

Danger reacts with strong oxidizing agents such as compressed oxygen, ozone, chloric acid and perchloric acid, nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, persulphuric and peroxo-hexaoxodisulfuric acid, peroxides, hydroperoxides, peracids, etc.

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS

Under normal circumstances, does not decompose.

Disposal considerations

Wastewater are provided to the biological wastewater treatment plant.

Recommended method of disposal: combustion.

Undamaged packaging allocated for reuse. Packaging damage clean up and dispose of in accordance with the requirements for this type of packaging.
