Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
short-term toxicity to fish
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water, hence indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the substance is highly insoluble (solubility: < 0.0001 mg/L at 25° C) in water. And also having the partition coefficient ranges from 7.2-11. Thus substance can be considered to be hydrophobic in nature.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
