According to the Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex XIII, Part 9.3.1, the adsorption/desorption screening “… does not need to be conducted if based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient)…”

The partition coefficient, log POW, was determined in Harlan Laboratories study D04393 from the individual solubilities in n-octanol and in water, respectively, to be:

log POW= log10 [<2.501 mg/L / 6392.1 mg/L] = <-3.4

Due to the low log POWof Acid Yellow RN 2903 the adsorption/desorption screening was not conducted.
