Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

One chronic terrestrial test is available with a NOEC of 944 mg/kg dw. The chemical safety assessment indicates no need to investigate further.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Alkyl amidoamines/imidazolines sorb strongly to soil but they hydrolyse quickly and the intermediates are biodegraded to CO2 and H2O and a polyethylene amine. The shortest poly amine DETA is also biodegraded. Therefore one chronic earthworm test has been performed to assess the long-term risk for terrestrial species. Further tests on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if no concern is indicated for the terrestrial compartment based on one chronic test result.
