The substance is not harmful to aquatic invertebrates, no toxicity in the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One GLP guideline study according to OECD 202 is available for amides, C16-C18 (even numbered)

(Sewell, 2001) and one investigating the acute toxicity of the structural related substance (Z)-docos-13-enamide (CAS No. 112-84-5) to Daphnia magna is also available

(Sewell, 2001).

Both tests were performed according to the OECD Guideline No 202 under GLP conditions. No immobilisation or other negative effects were observed in any of the daphnids exposed to the test substances up to the highest attainable concentration tested. The substance is not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
