Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The boiling point of Clearlink 1000 was carried out in accordance with GLP as per OECD guideline 103 by differential scanning calorimetry. Boiling point was not observed below the temperature at which reaction and/or decomposition started. The boiling point of Clearlink 1000 was not reported in the key study report owing to decomposition of the test substance. However, study report data suggest that the boiling point range is 322°C - 365°C. The study reports decomposition at ca. 200°C, however it also reports evaporation and absence of test substance after TGA/DSC experiments. This information along with the MSDS value (supporting study) for boiling point support the conclusion that the substance undergoes a conformation change at ca. 200 °C and boils in the range 322°C -365°C.

The value of 322 °C was used in the exposure assessment and risk characterisation of the substance (see CSR sections 9 and 10).
