Exposure by eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.

Fire-fighting measures

Fire extinguishing agents: alcohol-type foam or universal-type foam for large fires. Carbon dioxide or dry chemical for small fires.

Restrictions: Water jets - do not use. Do not discharge extinguishing waters into streams, rivers or lakes.

Fire / explosion hazard: None

Hazardous combustion products: Irritating fumes, oxides of carbon and nitrogen.

Personal protection: Body covering protective clothing, full "turn out" gear. Self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Personal protection: Wear suitable protective equipment. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Environmental precautions: Prevent from entering sewer system, surface water or soil.

Spillage procedure

Small spills; Absorb on inert material such as sand, earth or vermiculite. Collect for disposal.

Large spills: Dike to contain spill. Pump excess material into suitable container - metal drums, metal tanks.

Handling and storage

Occupational hygiene: Do not get in eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Avoid breathing vapour. Ensure use adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Where exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled, appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None known.

Chemical reaction with water: None which is hazardous.

Dust explosion: Not applicable, as the substance is a liquid.

Disposal considerations

Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not economically or technically feasible, and as such, waste material should be disposed of by appropriate methods and according to local regulations.

Waste disposal from use: Follow local and national regulations for disposal by treatment at an on-site waste-water treatment facility.

Contaminated items containing the substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning under controlled conditions at a lincenced waste treatment processor in accordance with any local regulations.
