The test substance did not meet the criteria for Ready Biodegradation based on the results of a ready biodegradation test (OECD 301D, Closed Bottle Test).Neither Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) nor change in the test substance concentration were observed in the 28-day test.In an OECD 302C, Inherent Biodegradability: Modified MITI Test (II), 40% biodegradation by day 28 based on BOD measurements and residue analysis showed 44% biodegradability by day 28, which indicated primary biodegradation of the parent, but the test substance did not meet the criteria for inherent biodegradability.No rate constant for elimination in a sewage treatment plant can be provided, however. The results of inherent biodegradation tests can be used for determining a rate constant only if a level of 70% degradation is reached within 14 days in the Modified MITI Test (II).
