Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No acute toxic effects occured within the range of solubility. Therefore, the test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic inveretbrates.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A test on the acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates of the actual test item is not available. However, data on a structural analogue (CAS 91081-53-7) are availble. The structutal analogue (Rosin, reaction products with formaldehyde) is the acid of the calcium salt . For read-across justification see Annex.

A GLP guideline study according to OECD 202 using Daphnia magna and CAS 91081-53-7 was conducted . Due to the low solubility of the test item in the test medium, a water accomodated fraction was prepared. After 48h no acute toxic effects could be observed in any of the test concentrations. Therefore, the test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
