Conclusion on classification

Aquatic acute toxicity

48 h, EC50 (Daphnia magna): >138.68 mg/L (arithmetric mean measured concentration)

7 d, ErC50 (Lemna gibba): >91.817 mg/L (initial mean measured)

96 h, LC50 (Danio rerio): >111.2 mg/L (mean measured concentration)

Aquatic chronic toxicity

7 d, EC10 (Lemna gibba): >91.817 mg/L (initial mean measured)

Biodegradation: The test item was not readily biodegradable in a carbon dioxide evolution test, since the pass level for ready biodegradability within a ten days window was not reached and the degree of biodegradation after an exposure period of 28 days was 20-30% CO2/ThCO2.

Partition coefficient: Log Pow = -4.0 at 20 °C

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was found to be readily biodegradable under the test conditions. The most sensitive test for the aquatic compartment was the toxicity test to aquatic plants other than algae (Lemna gibba). The test revealed a 7-d ErC10 and ErC50, respectively, of >91.817mg/L. The test item was not readily biodegradable in a carbon dioxide evolution test, since the pass level for ready biodegradability within a ten days window was not reached and the degree of biodegradation after an exposure period of 28 days was 20-30% CO2/ThCO2. The substance has a log Pow of -4.0 at 20.0 °C. Based on these results, the substance is neither classified as aquatic acute toxicity nor classified as aquatic chronic according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) as amended for the tenth time in Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/776.
