  • The yeast Candida Bombicola is also known as Stamerella Bombicola. It was first described as Torulopsis bombicola. This same strain was analyzed by Rosa and coworkers in 1998 (synonymized as Torulopsis at that time, C. A. Rosa, M.-A. Lachance, International Journal of Systematic Bacteriology 1998, 48, 1413-1417).
