With both experiments, a glass transition between 75°C and 125°C was observed. Small endothermic decomposition peaks were also observed between 250°C and 275°C (Experiment 1) and from 450°C (both experiments).

After the experiments, a black liquefied residue remained at the bottom of the sample container. It indicated reaction and/or decomposition of the test item during the test.

Executive summary:

 

The screening procedure for exothermic decomposition energy according to UN Appendix 6 was performed in a GLP study. Differential scanning calorimetry was used. No exothermic decomposition of the test item below 500°C. From this it was concluded that the substance has no explosive properties.
