Description of key information

The estimated half-life of the test item at 25 °C for pH 4, 7 and 9 has been shown to be greater than 1 year.using a method compatible with OECD 111 and EU Method C.7. Therefore, at environmentally relevant pH, the registered substance is considered hydrolytically stable.

In addition the test item attained 43 % biodegradation after 28 days and therefore cannot be considered to be readily biodegradable under the strict terms and conditions of OECD Guidelines No. 301B. Therefore, in the absence of other biodegradation studies, the registered substance can be considered potentially Persistent (P) in the environment.

Finally the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of the test item has been determined to be less than 17.8; log10 Koc <1.25 (OECD 121 and EU Method C.19). The result indicates that the substance has a very high mobility in soils (according to P.J. McCall et al., 1981). The registered substance has a low potential for adsorption.
