Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Eye Contact: In case of eye contact, remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
Ingestion: Give several glasses of water. Never give anything by mouth to a victim who is unconscious or is having convulsions. Call a physician immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:Water. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry chemical.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:None known
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions
- Advice for fire fighter: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions:Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Avoid inhalation of dust.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures: See exposure controls / PPE below
- Environmental precautions:Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Prevent spilled material from flowing onto adjacent land or into streams, ponds, or lakes.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Do not sweep. Vacuum material with appropriate dust collection filter in place. Be aware of potential for dust explosion when using electrical equipment. If vacuum is not available, lightly mist/wet material and remove by mopping or wet wiping.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:Keep formation of airborne dusts to a minimum. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear personal protective equipment. Wash hands thoroughly after handling

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Open handling is not recommended. Use appropriate control measures such as fume hood, ventilated enclosure, local exhaust ventilation, or down-draft booth.
2. Hand protection: Protective gloves complying with EN 374. Chemical resistant gloves
3. Body protection: Chemical-resistant gloves and impermeable body covering to minimize skin contact
6. Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN 166.
7. Respiratory protection: Use a properly fitted, air purifying or air fed respirator complying with an approved standard if a risk
assessment indicated that is necessary. Respirator selection must be based on known or
anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the
respirator. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government
standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU). If the applicable occupational exposure level (OEL)
is anticipated to be exceeded, wear an approved respirator with sufficient protection factor to
control exposure below the OEL

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity: Not water reactive.
2. Chemical stability: This material should not be packaged or stored above the following temperature: 160 °C. This material may self-react autocatalytically (both time and temperature may affect its tendency to self-react). If this material is exposed to temperatures of greater than the temperature listed above for more than 5 hours a rapid build up of heat and pressure may occur. Calorimetry data should be reviewed for elevated (above room) temperature operations of longer than this duration. The maximum temperature recommended above assumes quantities of less than 500 kg (1100 lb).
