Description of key information
In a guideline study with no deviations and compliant with GLP, Modified Small Vinyl Ester was determined to a kinematic viscosity larger than 100,500 mm2/s .

Modified Small Vinyl Ester is a highly viscous liquid (tough). Due to the nature of the test substance, the viscosity determination by rotational viscometer was not possible. Therefore, the viscosity of Modified Small Vinyl Ester was determined by a visual comparison with a reference oil.
The test substance and the reference oil with a kinematic viscosity of 100,500 cSt at 20 °C were placed in a climate room at 20.0 ± 0.4 °C for 2 hours. Next, both samples were turned over 90°. The reference oil started to flow, whereas no movement of Modified Small Vinyl Ester was observed. Based on this, it was concluded that Modified Small Vinyl Ester has a kinematic viscosity > 100,500 cSt at 20 °C (equal to 100,500 mm2/s).
