Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of Modified Small Vinyl Ester is evaluated to be negligible. The vapour pressures of four constituents of Modified Small Vinyl Ester were predicted by QSAR estimation. The predicted vapour pressures were all below 2 E-10 Pa.

Additional information

The vapour pressures of four constituents of Modified Small Vinyl Ester were predicted by QSAR estimation using US-EPA's program MPBPWIN v1.43 (September 2008). The vapour pressure for a further constituent was not predicted because it is a mixture of small polymeric molecules with the same principal structure as Constituent 1 but with higher molecular weights and thus lower vapour pressures.

Methacrylic acid has a vapour pressure of approximately 130 Pa, however this was not taken into consideration due to the low content (<0.5%).

The predicted vapour pressures were all below 2 E-10 Pa. Thus, it is concluded that the vapour pressure of Modified Small Vinyl Ester is negligible.
