Description of key information

The 48h-EC50 is > 100 mg/L in a OECD guideline 202 test with Daphnia magna under GLP (reliability 1).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of p-Toluenesulphonamide (PTSA) towards Daphnia magna was investigated according to OECD guideline 202 under GLP. Daphnids were exposed to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L and observed for 48 hours. Based on the nominal concentration, the 24h- and 48h-EC50 were found to be > 100 mg/L.
