Description of key information

The vapour pressure was determined to be 0.3514 hPa at 20 °C, 0.5166 hPa at 25 °C and 2.8472 hPa at 50 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.351 hPa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Several studies were conducted. The vapour pressure of 1 -methylimidazole was determined to be in the same range. BASF study no. 188.0460.1 determined the vapour pressure to be 0,3514 hPa at 20 °C, 0.5166 hPa at 25 °C and 2.8472 hPa at 50 °C. BASF study no. 191.0071.1 determined the vapour pressure to be 0.3473 hPa at 20 °C and BASF study no. 171.363.1 determined the vapour pressure to be 1.54 hPa at 40.3 °C. Taking into consideration the measured values at higher temperatures from the elder studies they are all in the same range and they all are reliable. Therefore the value (0.3514 hPa at 20°C) from the recent study was chosen as key value.
