Additional information

Data waiving according to EC no. 1907/2006 Annex XI section 1.: No data are available for the toxicity assessment of the test substance to terrestrial organisms. However, the substance has a low potential for adsorption to soil particles (log Koc of 2.61 at pH7) and it has no bioaccumulative properties (log Kow clearly below 3 under environmental relevant conditions). This assumption concerning adsorption to soil particles is substantiated by a Mackay Level I calculation which demonstrates that the compound will predominantly be distributed in the compartment water (100 %). Additionally, the lack of any harmful effects in aquatic tests on all three trophic levels at concentrations below or equal 100 mg/L indicate a low hazardous potential of the test substance towards soil organisms. Based on these data, binding to sewage sludge is unlikely and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected. Therefore, the risk to soil organisms is considered negligible and no tests on terrestrial organisms are provided.
