Description of key information

The pour point of the test item has been determined to be 0 °C (273 K).

Additional information

The ‘crystallising point’ method was initially attempted as the test item was not an oil-like mixture. Although, on cooling the test item became gradually more viscous and prior to the end of the determination at -20 °C the test item had become too viscous to agitate but a distinct freezing point did not occur. Therefore, it was considered that the pour point method would be a more appropriate method.

The preliminary pour point test had a pour point of 1 °C.
