Description of key information

The test item Hydroxy(2-methylprop-2-enoato-O)zinc has a melting range from 227 °C to 231 °C at atmospheric pressure (1013 hPa).

Key study was performed in order to determine the thermal stability as well as the melting/boiling point of Hydroxy(2-methylprop-2-enoato-O)zinc according to the EU Method A.2 and OECD 103 and 113.

According to the results of the DSC measurements, the test item has a melting point of 226.97 °C.

The measurement with the capillary method confirmed the results of the DSC-measurements concerning the melting behavior. According to the measurements with the BÜCHI apparatus, the test item has a melting point of 231.1 °C.

The test item Hydroxy(2-methylprop-2-enoato-O)zinc has a melting range from 227 °C to 231 °C at atmospheric pressure (1013 hPa).

The result has been considered as reliable without restriction because the test was performed in compliance with OECD and EU guidelines giving scientifically valid results.
